Seedballs for Wildlife
August 25 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am
Do you want to get your hands dirty for conservation?
Come help us make seedballs! Made with a mixture of clay, soil, water and native seeds, seedballs are a great habitat restoration tool. They keep seeds protected and in place with a perfect packet of nutrients so they are ready to sprout when it rains.
Join us for a morning of fun in the Event Garden at the Reid Park Zoo with Strategic Habitat Enhancements and Coalition staff! We will be making seedballs to restore habitat for pollinators and wildlife on the Oracle Road Wildlife Bridge in Oro Valley, and learning about our native Sonoran Desert plants.
You can even take a seedball home, and watch it grow! This is a great event for the whole family. We hope you can make it!
